Paul Wiedmaier is a dedicated Project Engineer with four years of experience managing civil and renewable energy construction projects totaling more than $90 million. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and is OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certified. Known for his intense attention to detail, Paul excels at coordinating multidisciplinary teams, maintaining schedules, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, all in support of successful project delivery.


For the past three years, he has been with Weiss Construction/Weiss Renewables in St. Louis, Missouri, first as a Project Engineer and now as an Assistant Project Manager. In his current role, Paul oversees documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and design clarifications, while participating in site visits to monitor progress and resolve field challenges. He coordinates engineering, procurement, and construction activities to meet project deadlines and budgets, calculates material quantities to aid procurement, and tracks subcontractor invoices, purchase orders, and change orders to ensure alignment with contractual requirements. His previous position as a Project Engineer at Weiss involved working closely with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors on a $90 million civil and renewable energy project. Paul Wiedmaier's responsibilities included developing Construction Work Plans emphasizing safety and sequencing, creating an Excel-based asset management and maintenance tracker, confirming equipment specifications with plant engineers, and managing plant security access protocols.


Before joining Weiss, Paul worked as a Project Engineer with JS Vig Construction in Plymouth, Michigan. There, he partnered with Project Managers on schedules, procurement, and subcontractor coordination. His responsibilities included preparing subcontracts, handling RFIs and submittals, conducting quantity takeoffs, and assisting in bid preparation for projects ranging from $500,000 to $20 million. Earlier in his career, he completed a Field Engineer Internship with Motor City Electric at the Ford Truck Plant in Dearborn, where he contributed to designing cable tray systems, wire tagging, reviewing technical diagrams, and troubleshooting equipment issues using CAD and engineering collaboration.


Paul Wiedmaier’s academic and extracurricular achievements further highlight his drive. In 2021, he was part of the Wayne State University team that won the Electrical Contracting Innovation Challenge finals, the first time the school achieved this distinction. A former Division 1 soccer player at the University of Detroit Mercy and Detroit Catholic Central High School, he brings teamwork and discipline into his professional life. Outside of work, Paul volunteers at Holy Family Parish in Novi, Michigan, assisting with community events and charitable efforts. He enjoys golf, traveling, reading, and language learning, is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, and holds dual citizenship in the United States and Brazil.
